PURPOSE OF BELLS: Once upon a time, there was an old biker who was returning from Mexico on a cool desert night, under the light of a full moon. His saddlebags were filled with trinkets for his biker friends and kids back home. Everything seemed perfect, until he encountered the mischievous gremlins that lay in wait for him on the road. Seizing the bells, he rang them, to his astonishment, the sound seemed to confuse the gremlins. Coincidentally, a couple of fellow bikers heard the bells and followed the sound. Upon seeing the biker in distress, they shouted loudly to frighten away any nearby animals. The old biker was immensely grateful for their help and decided to show his appreciation by attaching a bell to each of their motorcycles, using tassels from his saddlebag. He explained how the bells would protect them from the gremlins and serve as a signal for assistance if they ever encountered trouble.
